The header
Vehicle and customer info, the assigned tech, the scheduled time, and one contextual primary action that matches the stage: check in, schedule, order parts, start repair, mark complete, or new issue.

Issues
Each complaint or job is an issue with its own status, moving through: Opened, Diagnosing, Quoted, Awaiting approval, Approved, Parts ordered, In repair, Done. Deferred (declined) work keeps its own section so it can be revived later. Each issue shows its source: customer-reported, routine service, or an OBD scan.
Open an issue for its full workspace: the AI diagnosis, the estimate builder, parts ordering, notes, and a timeline of everything that happened.
The action rail
Down the side, in work order: Inspection, Estimate, Invoice, Maintenance.
- The quote panel builds and sends the estimate by text, email, or both, or records an in-person approval. Quotes can be voided.
- The invoice panel sends the invoice, adds notes, and records in-person payment with a method picker.
Repair Buddy
Inside an issue, Repair Buddy is an OEM-grounded AI you can ask repair questions: procedures, specs, known issues for this exact vehicle. It is the research assistant sitting next to the diagnosis.
Deleting a vehicle, voiding quotes, and canceling approved work all confirm first and leave a trail. Nothing disappears silently.
