Referral program

Refer a shop, get $1,000 cash once they've paid for two months of CarSignal. Flat, simple, uncapped.

Know a shop that should be on CarSignal? Invite them and get paid once they stick around.

How it works

  1. Open Settings, Billing, and find the Refer a shop card. Type your friend's email and hit Send invite. We clear their email for signup and send them a link with your code already attached. Nothing for them to copy or type.
  2. The shop signs up. Your code attaches to their account automatically. (They can also enter your code when booking a demo.)
  3. The shop uses CarSignal and pays for two months.
  4. Once they clear two paid months, CarSignal pays you $1,000 in cash.

Track your referrals

The Refer a shop card shows every referral and how close each one is to paying out: invite sent → signed up → billing → 1 of 2 months → 2 of 2 → paid. The moment you send an invite it appears here as "awaiting signup," so nothing gets lost.

The details

  • It is a flat $1,000 per successful referral, no tiers, no percentage math, no cap on how many shops you can refer.
  • The referred shop has to be a real, paying customer: the reward unlocks after they have paid for two months, not merely on signup.
  • A month only counts if the referred shop pays at least $100 in CarSignal fees that month, so the reward tracks genuine usage.
  • A shop that signs up and cancels before two qualifying months does not trigger a payout.
  • You also have a personal link (trycarsignal.com/r/YOURCODE) on the same card for handing to someone in person. The email invite is the better path: it clears their email for signup and shows up in your tracker immediately.
  • Payouts are cash, handled by the CarSignal team.

Not on CarSignal? You can still refer

Anyone can refer at trycarsignal.com/refer: mechanics, service writers, vendors, friends of the owner. Enter your name and email and you get a personal referral code (plus a trycarsignal.com/demo?ref=YOURCODE link). Give it to the shop; they enter the code when they book a demo, or your link fills it in for them. The public referral pays $500 once the referred shop completes its first paid month. Lost your code? Re-enter your email on the same page and it comes back. Referring from inside the app pays $1,000, so if you run a shop on CarSignal, use the Refer a shop card instead.
