CarSignal treats a multi-location business as one brand with several shops: your customers are shared across locations, while calendars, cars, money, and phone numbers stay per location. Mobile fleets work the same way — each van or region can be its own location.
Add a location
Signing up with several locations? Pick Multiple locations during setup and name your business — your brand is created up front, and after your first location is ready, the finish screen walks you through adding the rest, about a minute each.
Already set up? Open the shop switcher and choose Add shop. Either way, check "This is another location" and the new location starts with your existing setup copied over: service menu, hours, canned jobs, inspection templates, and pricing (labor rate, tax, parts markup). Your locations are grouped under one brand automatically.
Billing follows your business: on a monthly subscription, each added location joins the same subscription automatically (one charge, quantity per location, prorated when you add mid-cycle) — no extra checkout. On a pilot, added locations share the pilot. Manage it all in All locations · Billing; a location's own billing page points there. Each location still completes its own texting registration, and customer payouts are per location by design.
Shared customers
A customer who has been to any of your locations is recognized at all of them. When they book, call, or check in at a location that hasn't seen them before, CarSignal matches them from your other locations and brings their contact info in — the client card shows which location they came from, and an Other locations section shows their visits, vehicles, and spend at your other shops.
Texting consent does not carry between locations: each location's number gathers its own consent, as carrier rules require.
The All locations view
Your HQ. Pick it from the shop switcher:
- Today — each location's cars, appointments, quotes waiting, unpaid invoices, revenue trend, and who's working today.
- Money — collected, refunded, net, average RO, and outstanding at every location side by side for the month, last month, or the year. Books stay separate; open a location for its full P&L.
- Team — a grid of people by location. Tap to place someone at a location or take them off; moving a tech between locations is two taps.
- Services — every location's booking menu together. Add a service everywhere at once, or give one location its own. Prices and durations stay per location.
- Templates — copy canned jobs and inspections between locations, or create one everywhere at once. Each location keeps its own copy, so local edits stay local.
- Billing — one bill for the business: the plan, how many locations it covers, the card on file, and invoices. Individual locations point here instead of managing their own subscription.
You only see and manage locations you belong to, and changes need admin rights at the location they touch.
One booking page, one team
- Your brand gets its own booking link that lists every location — customers pick where to go. Each location keeps its own link too.
- Invite a staff member to every location at once with the Invite to all locations option in Settings, Team.
What stays per location
Money (Stripe, invoices, QuickBooks), texting numbers, calendars and capacity, labor rates and taxes, and parts supplier accounts are always per location. Cross-location reporting reads them side by side; it never merges books.
